Selected Course: Relationship Building for Creative Leaders
Applied Learning: I realized that I have been creating professional relationships without the goal of earning a client for some time now. This week, actually, I saw the fruit of this. I was offered a job at a software company through my friend whom I had supported on Instagram because I genuinely liked his work. I simply commented on his posts and even had the opportunity of doing some freelance photography for his family photoshoot a few months back. This relationship is what provided the avenue for the job offer, which is what the course teaches.

How has this course improved me?
I have never really been good at making connections or meeting new people. In the creative line of work, interacting with new potential customers and even current clients is a must and should be done professionally and effectively. I feel as though this course has given me a clear starting point to use in the future. It gives me more confidence to reach out and step out of my comfort zone now that I have this information to help guide me.
